Welcome to Gruff’s Vault—Guild of Guardians’ newest feature that lets you pledge $GOG tokens and receive rewards without locking up your tokens. Gruff’s Vault offers a fresh way to gain rewards without the traditional lockup.

What Is Gruff’s Vault?

Gruff’s Vault is a rewards program where players can pledge a certain amount of $GOG tokens and take specific actions to earn rewards over time. Your tokens are not locked up—instead, you simply promise to maintain a certain $GOG balance in your wallet for a 28-day cycle. The earlier you pledge within each cycle, the higher the rewards you can receive!

Gruff’s Vault is designed to reward active participation while ensuring you still have full control of your tokens.

Why Should You Join Gruff’s Vault?

• Maximize Your Leaderboard Rewards: If you’ve received any $GOG from your effort in the leaderboard competitions, you can maximize their value by receiving additional rewards. 

• Maintain Control of Your $GOG: Gruff’s Vault lets you maintain full control while receiving rewards.

How Does Gruff’s Vault Work?

1. Pledge Your $GOG Tokens

To participate, you’ll need to pledge a minimum of 100 $GOG tokens. Pledging is essentially a promise to hold that amount of $GOG in your Immutable Passport wallet for the duration of the 28-day reward cycle.

2. Earn More by Joining Early

The sooner you pledge within the cycle, the more rewards you’ll be eligible to earn! You can pledge at any point during the cycle, but the earlier you start, the better the rewards.

3. Collect Rewards at the End of Each Cycle

Once the 28-day cycle ends, you can collect your rewards. If you’re still in the game, your rewards will be based on the amount of $GOG you’ve pledged and the timing of your pledge. You can repeat the process in the next cycle for even more rewards.

The first epoch of Gruff’s Vault will begin on October 2nd, 2024 at  2pm AEST, lasting for 28 days. The maximum reward distribution allotment for this cycle is 400,000 $GOG, so make sure to pledge early to maximize your share of the rewards!

What Are the Requirements?

To participate in Gruff’s Vault, players must meet ALL of the following conditions:

• Buy a Guild of Guardians asset on any NFT marketplace on Immutable zkEVM, like TokenTrove or Sphere, using your Immutable Passport wallet.

• Pledge a minimum of 100 $GOG that you own in your Immutable Passport wallet.

FAQ:

• Do I lose my $GOG if I pledge it?
  • No! Pledging does not lock your $GOG tokens. You keep full control of your balance, but you must maintain your pledged amount to earn rewards.
• What happens if my balance falls below the pledged amount?
  • Your pledge is canceled and no rewards will be paid out to you at the end of the cycle.
• Can I join the cycle at any time?
  • Yes! You can join at any point, but the earlier in the cycle that you pledge, the more rewards you’ll earn.
• Can I increase my pledge during the cycle?
  • No, once you have set a pledge you cannot alter it, however we intend on exploring this functionality based on user feedback
• Is this feature only for game players?s
  • No! Even if you’re not playing, as long as you hold $GOG and fulfill ALL the minimum requirements, you can participate.
• How are rewards calculated?
  • The total rewards per Cycle is determined by the GOG Team by evaluating the token health metrics, and user adoption of the product. During the initial launch we will monitor and adjust metrics. Over time we will provide a formula based on ecosystem activity which can be used to derive the per epoch rewards
  • Each individual’s share of rewards is not knowable in advance, rather it depends on the time and value weight of pledged amounts during the cycle. The following example illustrates the calculation method:
    • Player A Pledges 10 $GOG for 100% of the Cycle. Player B Pledges 30 $GOG for 50% of the Cycle. The Total Reward for Cycle is 100 GOG
    • Player A’s Pledge Weight = 10  (10*1)
    • Player B’s Pledge Weight = 15 (30*0.5)
    • Total Cycle Pledge = 25 (10+15)
    • Player A’s Reward Share = 0.4 (10/25)
    • Player B’s Reward Share = 0.6 (15/25)
    • Player A’s Reward Share = 40 GOG (100 * 0.4)
    • Player B’s Reward Share = 60 GOG (100 * 0.6)
    • Both Player A and B are unaware of what the final reward share is at the time of pledge (Player A for example may not have known when Player B exits the pledge)

• Can I pledge from my Metamask Wallet / other externally owned wallet?
  • No you must pledge from a Passport Wallet
  • We intend to include support for non-passport wallets in future updates

• Pledge: The act of promising to hold a certain amount of $GOG tokens in your wallet.

• Cycle or Epoch: Each reward period lasts 28 days, after which rewards are distributed.

• Rewards: The $GOG tokens you are eligible for by maintaining your pledge throughout the cycle.
