New exclusive festive skins

For the first time, we are releasing 3 exclusive skins for Guardians: Atticus, Grisell, and Ennara. These Christmas inspired skins are new chromas of your Guardians, and bring a festive vibe to your battles against the Dread! Did we say, they’re limited to this Christmas only?!

Santa Atticus arrives in time for Christmas! Atticus is DECKED OUT in Santa’s costume, and let’s just say his attacks come wrapped nicely as presents!

Frost Queen Ennara brings the chill! With an ICED OUT outfit, Ennara brings a frosty bite to her attack!

Candycane Grisell rings the Christmas bell! SWEET on the outside with her Candycane poncho, Grisell’s attack has a certain Christmas ring to it!

How to acquire the exclusive chromas

‍

If you already own a Radiant (NFT) Atticus or Grisell, then all you need are Chroma Vouchers to apply the exclusive Christmas skin. Only Radiant Guardians can have festive Chromas applied.

If you don’t own Atticus or Grisell, we suggest the Holiday Bundle! Not only will you receive both Grisell and Atticus, you also receive enough Ascension seals to upgrade them to Radiant Guardians (NFTs), and Chroma Vouchers to apply the festive skins to both guardians! See below for a full breakdown of the bundles available!

Ennara is exclusively available as rewards in an upcoming Leaderboard Special Event. Please refer to the blog here.

What is a Chroma Conversion Voucher?

• A Chroma conversion voucher is a web2 resource that can only be used on a specific Radiant Guardian (i.e. NFT) to override the Guardians current Chroma type
• Chroma Conversion Vouchers can only be applied to specific Guardians
• Chroma Conversion Vouchers are not transferable or tradable and are consumed upon use

What will happen to the current Chroma on the Guardian I apply it to?

• The existing Chroma value will be over-ridden (e.g. Applying a Frost Queen Chroma Voucher to a Champion Ennara will override the “Champion” Chroma to “Seasonal” Chroma.
  • The appearance of your Guardian will update to the Seasonal Chroma skin and you will permanently lose access to the Champion Chroma effect on that NFT

What Chroma Vouchers are available and what Guardians can they be used on?

• There are two Chroma Vouchers that are available to players:
  • 2024 Holiday Chroma Voucher: Atticus OR Grisell
  • Frost Queen Chroma Voucher: Ennara

Will these Chromas be made available again?

• Seasonal Chroma vouchers will never be sold again and are exclusive to this event, however new vouchers may become available to different guardians in future
• We reserve the right to provide give-aways and prizes of additional vouchers at no more than 10% of the total number of Chromas sold/rewarded
• In the event that we do not sell out or insufficient players participate in the leaderboard, we reserve the right to sell or distribute the allocated supply in future

Why can’t you give Chroma Guardians directly as rewards?

• We wanted to give many players the chance to earn this voucher as a token of our gratitude for supporting GOG during its launch phase
• The impact of an extra 2,000 free Radiant Guardians would have adverse inflationary impact on the ascension seal cost curves and the general supply of resources in the game
• We do not expect all 2,000 vouchers to be used to mint Guardians immediately as many F2P players will not have access to Ascension Seals leading to a more spread out supply increase

If we already own a special Chroma, why can’t we choose what cosmetics to use like other games?

• GOG currently does not have a cosmetic skin system that allows players to flexibly change skins and Chromas. We are gauging community appetite for cosmetic skins to determine feature prioritisation

Why did you pick these Guardians?

• We wanted to experiment with skins on Guardians that have unrestricted supply in the Evergreen Banner so that the maximum number of players can find utility in this
• We did not want to add additional supply to Gen 1, Founders, or E-Sports Guardians
• We believe these Guardians have a useful role in the current meta
